Digelar diStaples Center, California pada Minggu (10/2/2019) waktu setempat, lagu “This is America” menjadi lagu terbaik dan rekaman terbaik tahun ini. Ia juga memenangkan lagu rap pertama yang dapat penghargaan bergengsi di acara tersebut.
Meski Gambino nggak menghadiri acara tersebut dan dilaporkan menolak undangan untuk tampil di Grammy, ternyata lagunya telah mengalahkan lagu-lagu hits lainnya.
